Thank You All & Thank You Elizabeth

Hello Everyone,
It’s Sandy here, posting on the last day of the year.
I would like to thank the LLC Design Team Members for six wonderful months, where they have shared so many incredibly beautiful and inspirational projects with us all.
Becky, Elin, Elizabeth, Karita, and Tina - you make me proud with every project you create for LLC and I’m so fortunate to have you on my team. You’re a great bunch of girls; not only are you all very talented crafters and I’ve learned so much from you, but you’re also some of the sweetest girls I’ve ever known and I’m so very thankful for the support you have given me when embarking on this exciting journey and throughout.

There’s one person in particular though that I would like to thank and pay tribute to today, and that is Elizabeth, who has a lot going on in her life at the moment and has taken the decision step down from the team.  Elizabeth - I know that I speak for all of us, when I say that you’re going to be greatly missed, but we’ll see you around in blog land and we all wish you the very best.

…and here’s a recap of Elizabeth’s 6 months with LLC:
Elizabeth is one of the Three Musketeers; Tina, Karita and Elizabeth were the very first three DT Members, and they’ve been with LLC since the start, well actually even before the store went live.

The first very first project Elizabeth created for LLC was for our July Challenge. The theme was Nautical and she made this box:

Then we kicked off with the weekly inspirational themes. Becky and Elizabeth shared Wednesdays and Sundays and personally I could never keep track on whose turn it was to post when, but they proved that they are two extremely well organized chicks and always had everything under full control.

Becky on Elizabeth
“Elizabeth is one of the sweetest ladies I know in blogland. I am privileged to have been on several DT's with her, her work is always amazing and I must confess when I can feel my mojo wandering her's is one of the blogs I visit for inspiration. Elizabeth always gives the sweetest comments, I know she will be missed here at LLC, but cyber land is a small space and I know I'll see her around. Good luck Elizabeth in your ventures, I'll continue to stalk you, and I can't wait to see what you come up with in 2013. Hugs, Becky x”

Here are Elizabeth’s first four weekly inspirational projects, made for the themes Maja Design, Pion Design’s Grandma’s School Book collection, Riddersholm Design, and our “Bling it on week”.

Then we turned page to August and the theme for our August challenge was a sketch that had been designed by Elizabeth.

This is one of the few non-Magnolia projects Elizabeth has created for LLC. As most of you probably  know, with her own words, she’s a Magnolia addict. I think that becomes rather clear, when looking at the following projects… :-)

Louise on Elizabeth
“I’ve only known Elizabeth for a short period of time, however in this short time, I have learned that she is a kind-hearted and very helpful person. I consider Elizabeth an extremely talented cardmaker, who has been one of my role models for quite some time now. Elizabeth’s colouring skills are exceptional! :-) It would have been a great honor to work together with her, so I do hope our paths will cross again and I’d like to wish Elizabeth all the happiness in the world. Love, Louise”

Elin on Elizabeth
“I’ve learned so much from Elizabeth. She’s always approachable and has a lot of good advice, which she is keen to share with others. She’s a very happy person with a great sense of humour. With Love, Elin xxx”

But also Elizabeth has learned from Elin and been inspired by Elin’s work…
The girls like to challenge each other sometimes and back in October, DT Member Elin challenged Elizabeth to decorate a note book and this is what Elizabeth came up with, using papers from Inkido and images from…yup you guessed it: Magnolia! :-)

Tina on Elizabeth
“Regardless if she is using cute stamps or vintage images, Elizabeth’s projects are always very special. I love the many small details on her creations. I wish her all the best, and even though we will no longer be on the same team, her blog will always be one I love visiting.”
Sandy on Elizabeth
“Not only is Elizabeth a very talented colouring artist who masters both Copics and DIs equally well, she also has a great eye for form, colour & contrast and what fits together. Elizabeth is definitely a fussy & fancy girl who likes to include a lot of embellishments on her creations, however they never look overcrowded. Her creations are always harmonious and well balanced, and she has an exceptional feeling for where to position image and embellishments.”

Tracy on Elizabeth
“I'm sad to see you go especially as I am just getting to know you, but I will continue to follow your gorgeous work and vintage style. Good luck in your future endeavours. Hugs Tracy x”

Throughout October-November and December, we had various different weekly themes, and 9 out of 10 times Elizabeth created something with a Magnolia image. :-)
I’ll let you in on a secret; it’d have been 100% had she not overseen that there was a certain paper collection not available at the LLC store… so committed as she is, Elizabeth she created a second project for the December challenge even though we only showcased one (the one with the RIGHT papers :-) ), namely the note book with one of Pion Design’s vintage images.

Karita on Elizabeth
"It has been a great pleasure and an honor for me to have the opportunity to work together with Elizabeth and getting to know her. I will miss her dearly and she will always have a place in my heart. I will especially miss her great sense of humour :D Elizabeth was always willing to help, specifically when I had problems to download photos to Blogger, I would have been in trouble without Elizabeth's great advice. So big thanks and hugs to Elizabeth <3"

Sandy on Elizabeth…again :-)
“It’s hard to summarize what a fantastic person Elizabeth is in just a few sentences, but one of the first things that springs to mind is her humor. During these six months, there have been countless ROFLs and LOLs (rolling on the floor laughing & laughing out loud for those who are not familiar with these net abbreviations). I will never forget the time when Elizabeth was joking about making a shabby chic card in PINK for her brother in law, the hunter. :-) Out of context it might not be as funny, but I’m sure you're getting the picture.

Other characteristics of Elizabeth is her caring nature, her enthusiasm and positive attitude, her willingness to try new things out and to always help others and share tips & advice. I also came to greatly appreciate Elizabeth’s straightforwardness and honesty. If she had second thoughts about anything, she would state her honest opinion. I could go on, but I’ll just conclude with saying; I’m privileged and grateful to not only have had Elizabeth on my Design Team, but also for getting to know her on a personal level.

Elizabeth – thank you for your outstanding commitment to LLC and the gorgeous and inspirational work you’ve shared with us all over the last 6 months. Thanks also for all the fun and the laughter. I know we are all living busy lives and we’ll probably not be in touch as often anymore, but I know where your blog lives, and when to get hold of you…during your midnight colouring sessions…right?!!! :-)

If you’d like to take a closer look at Elizabeth’s creations for LLC, you can check them all out here, and why not pop over to Elizabeth’s blog and become a follower if you’re not already?!!!

Last but not least, I’d like to thank all Customers, Blog Followers and Facebook Friends for your custom and support in 2012. I’m looking forward to an exciting 2013 together with you and the LLC DT. Hope to see you already tomorrow when our January challenge goes live and you’ll get to “meet” Tracy and Louise – our two newest members of the DT for the first time. You’ll not want to miss that!

Have a Great Ending to 2012, Stay Safe, and All the Best for 2013!

Hugz,
Sandy
